This intricate woven trivet is a potholder with a story. Using basket-weaving techniques that have been passed down from mother to daughter for generations, women wrap hand-dyed sisal fibers around locally-grown sweetgrass to form intricate woven designs. Each trivet takes 10-12 days to complete.
