Checkered Bolga Basket

The ideal basket for outings to the beach, the park, or the farmer's market. Bolga baskets are a traditional handcraft in the Bolgatanga region of Ghana, where elephant grass is colored using natural dyes and then carefully woven into a variety of patterns. Complete with leather handles, they are extremely durable and sturdy, having been functionally used for centuries to assist in the daily labors of the indigenous weavers.
